MacGyver Auto Body & Collision is a family‑run autobody and collision repair shop in Richmond Hill built on craftsmanship, honesty, and heart. We proudly serve Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Thornhill, Aurora, Newmarket, and the GTA. The heart of our shop is Tony — “MacGyver” — and his wife Sandra (Samar). For more than forty years, they’ve worked side by side to grow a team that treats every vehicle as if it were their own. From structural straightening to refinishing and factory color match paint, Tony’s eye for detail and Sandra’s customer‑first mindset set our standard of care.

Tony “MacGyver” – The Story Behind the Name

Tony didn’t get the nickname “MacGyver” by accident. Early in his career, while working in busy dealership body shops, he became known as the person who could fix anything. When other technicians were stuck, Tony would step in with creative solutions, repairing what seemed impossible. His colleagues started calling him “MacGyver,” and the name has stayed with him ever since, perfectly reflecting his problem-solving skills and dedication. Over nearly five decades in the industry, Tony’s exceptional talent for paint and color matching has attracted attention far beyond Richmond Hill. Paint company owners, CEOs, and managers from countries such as Australia, the United States, and the U.K. have visited the shop to watch Tony work, learn his process, and see how he and Sandra prepare vehicles, diagnose issues, and achieve flawless color matches.
